The LOCC In Kingston Dec 7th 02
The Scoop
-The LOCC gets together many times per year, sometimes to go off-roading, sometimes to swap parts and work on cars, and sometimes just to chat about our beasties. One thing is for sure, it is always a good time.
-This meet is only the second one I attend, but already I have gotten to know the members quite well and have been impressed by their great senses of humour, their fun attitudes, and their dedication to the art of Lada. I guess it just takes a certain type of person to want to be in the LOCC!
-On this particular Saturday, the club got together at the Lone Star restaurant in Kingston, Ontario for dinner just to take care of the years' business and to start planning for the events held by the clubs' members. After dinner, the attendees (minus 2 Lada Samaras and their owners) headed out to the Canadian Forces base to CAUSE TROUBLE! Haha, no we just went down because the restaurant had kicked us out and we needed a place to sit around and continue our meeting (many thanks to Jack for getting us in!). The following pictures were taken in the parking lot where we had amassed our cars. Unfortunately, because it was dark, not all my pictures came out crystal clear, but they are good nonetheless.
1.Sophie took this picture as the Nivas were lining up. Gavin had parked his big monster of a Fiva hybrid first, then I pulled up alongside with my diminutive Niva, he then hopped in and we discussed the finer points on the Niva charging system and the value of a good stereo to drown out road noise ;)
2.He's not so tall! (But he can boast suspension travel about 3 times that of my Niva!)
3.If I were in the UK I would say that that has to be the sweetest boot(y) I've ever seen. Plural.
4.OK, Sophie, that's enough. :P
5.I took this one, it shows the full line up of Nivas that had attended this meet, not a bad turn-out, not bad at all!
