So many pictures...
-On Sunday (Oct 13th '02) Sophie and I headed up to Bon Echo National Park, where they have a campground, for the annual thanksgiving day weekend family get together. Last year I had driven up all by my lonesome and had gotten off course a bit and found myself in the middle of a road that was much more of an access trail in sumer and skidoo trail in winter than an actual road. However I had great fun going through it as it was a nice twisty gravel/dirt trail just wide enough for a Niva. This year, with Sophie on board, we again took this trail on our trip, but this time intentionally. And again I had a great time riding my way through the trail, with all of my 4 cylinders wailing at 5000 rpms or so and dropping down to 3000 every couple of seconds in order to slide my way around a right hand 5-, or left hand 6+ over crest into left 3 don't cut ;) ... you get the idea, I'm only missing my co-driver to read me some pace notes and I'm all set. Even now, 5 days later I still get a big stupid grin thinking about it.
-The feeling I get from this kind of driving is beyond explanation, esepcially with my beatiful Stage 2TT exhaust literally screaming it's way as I pull to 5500 rpms in second gear then popping and farting as it revs back down under left-foot braking, just really gets the ol' heart pumping you know.
-The first couple of pictures show the road while it was still more or less of a road.
-The third picture is of the road just after the sign that reads "this road not maintained in winter" and right before we head into the real trail.
-Picture 4 is one that I like particularly and it is a good action shot showing the kind of roads we are travelling now.
-Pic 5 shows a beatiful canadian fall forest with a lot of beautiful colors, I had actually stopped for a couple of seconds so that Sophie could get a shot without all the speed-blurs, muahaha.
-Picture 6 is a shot taken when we arrived at the campsite. I like the fact that I had sucked this really nice maple leaf into my grill along with the other debris that one can suck up in a forest, it's like they say, if you don't bring back any of the scenery, you weren't driving hard enough. ;)
-This last picture was taken at Bon Echo park and I just threw it up here because I thought it was a nice picture.
